Houbara Bustards

Houbara Bustards
Houbara bustards are endangered and the plan is to protect them. This programme are financed by Abu Dhabi government. There are has projects to conserve Houbara bustards everywhere. The new future plan is to increase the production of  birds. Breeding birds are trained to behaved to humans. Males and females are going to be matched. Some of the chicks will be for breeding while the others will be released. The new chicks are kept until nine months. Then, they are released in two groups. The birds can't be  released in hunting season. So, there are 65 percent still alive after one year. "The scientists also monitor what happens to the birds after the released, using radio and satellite transmitters to track their movements" (Todorova. V.2011).
